A leading U.S. law firm is seeking a Director of Financial Systems for one of its offices, with a preference for candidates based in the Bay Area (Mountain View, San Francisco, or Los Angeles); other eligible locations include New York, Washington, DC, Boston, and Seattle. This is a hybrid, full-time exempt role requiring at least one day per week onsite, plus periodic travel to the Bay Area for candidates based elsewhere.

The Director leads the firm’s Financial Systems team and owns the strategy, security, and reliability of its financial systems, centered on Aderant Expert as the primary ERP within a Microsoft-centric environment. Responsibilities include guiding the team on technical architecture and problem-solving, overseeing data integrations and reporting tools, owning the Financial Systems budget and vendor relationships, driving the group’s emerging technology roadmap, and leading system implementations, upgrades, and migrations in partnership with Finance, IT, and outside vendors.

Candidates should have 15+ years of financial systems experience in a law firm setting, 10+ years managing teams, strong SQL and scripting proficiency (PowerShell, .NET/C#, or Python), and direct Aderant experience strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus. Salary range: $186,000–$279,000.
